Secure and efficient document shredding with the RS40

Riwald Recycling Franken GmbH is a reliable partner for the destruction of confidential files/documents. The company replaced its document shredding plant to ensure the highest standards for its customers and to guarantee safety at work. At the heart of the plant is a UNTHA RS40, which shreds efficiently thanks to its slow-running cutting system and at the same time produces only low dust and noise emissions. The connected conveyor system provides additional protection for documents and personnel while also reducing the risk of fire.

The solution
Why opt for an UNTHA shredder?

The company chose a UNTHA RS40, which was integrated into a system solution consisting of a conveyor belt, dust extraction system and discharge conveyor belt including baler. This shredder can process up to 900 kg of documents – loose or in folders – per hour. The RS40 is a slow-running four-shaft shredder with a cutting mechanism that is insensitive to foreign objects and can even handle the metal parts of folders. The low speed of the cutting shafts ensures low noise and dust emissions. Using different perforated screens, shredding can be made to different security levels. The material is shredded to a fraction size of approx. 25 mm (security level P3) and then goes into a baler. The material is recycled into hygienic paper.

We use the UNTHA RS40 to process around 500 tonnes of files/documents per year that meet security level P3. The shredder is powerful, reliable and low-maintenance and fits perfectly into the security requirements of the entire plant.
