Material
Pulper ropes represent a special kind of waste. They accumulate during the production of paper - or, more precisely, during the recycling of waste paper.
Half of these so-called rejects generally consist of metal, which is why their processing is particularly arduous and challenging.
With our XR shredders, we offer you a tried and tested, single-stage shredding solution.
Find the right shredder
SHREDDING OF PULPER ROPES
When waste paper is recycled, reject pulper ropes are created. Whilst in the pulper, these absorb a mixture of very different contaminations such as plastics, metals, paper fibres, etc. Subsequent to this, the pulper ropes have to be disposed of as efficiently as possible.
The most effective form of reject disposal is to process them as substitute fuels.
Placing the pulper ropes directly into the hopper using handling equipment has proven particularly efficient.
Subsequently, the cutting unit in our shredder shreds the materials in the pulper ropes down to a defined fraction size.
It is then transported away directly with the aid of a conveyor belt.
An overbelt magnet (also known as a magnet separator) simultaneously sorts all metal parts from the material stream.
The fuel thus obtained has a high calorific value and is ideal for thermal utilisation in cement or power plants. In addition, it contains so little contaminated metal that it can be reintroduced into the raw material cycle.
The perfect solution
The XR class is a particularly economic, single-stage shredding solution for this reject processing method.
Depending on the requirements and conditions at your plant, our shredding machines are available in stationary and mobile versions.
This and many more advantages make the XR class the ideal solution for the processing of pulper ropes.
